AS SNOWMAGEDDON APPROCHES ENERGY PRICES SURGE

I started this cost of energy in NYS conversation with this SIGMA3iOC post the other day: ENERGY: WHY SOOOOO HIGH?

I today noticed this article in the New York Post following up on my own observations about where all the unnecessary increases in fact come from and who it is to thank after receiving my latest Con Ed bill.

Electricity bills are out of control because of Andrew Cuomo and 'green' madness

My assumption was that about 1/3rd or so of everyone's energy bill in New York State and New York City was now due to former governor, Andrew Cuomo (D) surrendering the running of the state of New York to the Globalist "Green New Deal" "progressive" agenda. Just one more reason to despise him, what a legacy.

I apparently was a bit off on my 1/3rd estimation:

"Last month, the Institute for Energy Research and Always On Energy Research reported that electricity prices in New York are 58% higher than the US average, and 62% higher than Florida’s.

Furthermore, residential rates in New York jumped by 36% between 2019 and 2024, nearly three times faster than the national average and the second-fastest increase in the US, behind only California.

Of all the bad moves made by New York’s leaders, the worst one — a decision that deserves its own wing in the Energy Foolishness Hall of Fame — is the premature closure of Indian Point in 2021."

And I just yesterday received a notice that the NYS legislature has approved a Con Ed rate increase.

Why are the energy prices so high in New York State (D) and the state of California (D) so high? Prices are so artificially high due to government agenda and not market based forces. These governments are confiscating your wealth to fulfill their radical political ideologically based agendas.

The proposed increase percentages for Con Edison in New York State are as follows:

• Electricity:

• 3.5% in 2026

• 3.2% in 2027

• 3.1% in 2028

• Natural Gas:

• 4.4% in 2026

• 5.7% in 2027
