What exactly does "Hoisted on your own petard actually mean?

"The term hoisted by one's own petard means to fall foul of your own deceit or fall into your own trap. This term has its origin in medieval times when a military commander would send forward one of his engineers with a cast-iron container full of gunpowder, called a petard, to blow up a castle gate, obstacle, or bridge. The fuses on these bombs were very unreliable, and sometimes the engineers would be killed when the petards exploded prematurely. The explosion would blow (or hoist) the engineer into the air."

The entire argument the Democrat leadership makes on why no one should have to present their I.D. when voting is ridiculous and refuted by their own all in 11 seconds. Amazing!

Ask ANY Democrat you know these two questions that will force them to face what I see as the now treasonous actions of the desperate Democrat party leadership and reject them.

First question: Why was the southern border of the United States of America held wide open and flooded with millions of illegals for 4 years starting on 1/21/21 when under Democrat party control? (Answer: Instantly creating more Democrat representation / votes within Congress in the short term. And seeding the country with future reproducing dependent people within Democrat controlled cities and states in the long term.)

Second question: Why is the Democrat party leadership fighting soooo hard against common sense laws like adults presenting their identification to vote? (Answer: Take any measure "by any means necessary" in order to further acquire and control political power.)

NYC: YOU MUST PROVIDE 2 FORMS OF I.D. WITH PICTURE (TO SHOVEL SNOW)

Any regular everyday patriotic America loving, hardworking, tax paying American who votes who currently identifies as a Democrat who honestly answers these two very simple questions will have to reconsider their politics and what it means to be an American.

Most Democrats in my experience will refuse to answer these two questions. But you must continue to ask them.

Sometime there is a fine line between politics and treason, and sometimes a not so fine line.
