An EVTOL is a brand-new never before seen but often dreamt about aviation classification. Takes off vertically like a helicopter, transitions into forward flight on a conventional wing, transitions back to vertical landing. And its quiet as a breeze through the trees.
The technology related to batteries and materials had not yet met up with the dream, until now!

JOBY is the founding and leading company in this space today with several other companies offering similar concepts, but JOBY has IMO the best concept, design, execution and is the furthest along in the arduous FAA process of becoming certified for commercial operation.
