NO MEN? NO PROBLEM
A note to a more "progressive" dissatisfied lady friend who proposes that the majority of incompetence in business and in the world is based in the actions or inactions and incompetence of MEN. And we might all be better off if women were dominant. Really?
Me: I wonder if you ever considered or even realized that everyone's rights and in particular ALL women's rights and freedoms in the country and in the American economy and in the free world for that matter are secured exclusively by men?
Rights and freedoms designed, written, manifested and ensured by men. White, Judeo / Christian more enlightened men initially and primarily. Some were probably mixed blood, some might have been gay and or differently oriented, I am sure. But they were all men all the same.
But I take your point that dealing with some men in some instances, especially in business can be sketchy, 100 percent. Perfect they / we are not. Especially if you as a consumer are not fully aware of what is involved in "doing a good and competent job". As is dealing with some women I most confidently assure you who can also be very sketchy.
People, men or women, engaged in business as a general rule strive to and usually do a very good and competent job. As a general rule.
And you of course have a valid point: You chose an allegedly qualified company to do a job that you do not want to or cannot accomplish yourself, and that is fine. Someone provides a service or product in this case men, that you need or want, and you are willing to pay a price / compensate them for it. Participate in CAPITALISM in other words. That is called a market.
The business is compensated and gets what they need plus they make a profit hopefully for providing that service or product, and you get what you want or need. No government input needed other than the structure, system and process it all exists and operates by design within.

You expect when you hire a contractor that the job you want done is to be done in a competent and more or less complete manner. That is what you are paying for. (That is the theory anyway.) And if you are not satisfied then we have a objectively structured, reasonable legal and justice system both civil and criminal. That again was designed, written and manifested by men designed to create "rights", an equality, a protection, man or woman, before the law.
America without men of every shade of white, brown and black, no one, particularly women of every color, race and creed, gay or straight or differently oriented would not have any rights or ability to do much of anything they freely wanted to do. Men and women need each other, like it or not, gay or straight or differently oriented. And Socialism or some imagined form of "properly done" "progressive" Socialism is certainly not a viable answer and path to take to ensure freedom and free choice to continue to do as you freely please.
For our purposes we will define a right in this instance as your ability to freely do, work, buy and associate as you choose in society and the economy exactly as you have today. You have carte blanche in that regard in America. ("Carte blanche" is a French expression that literally means "complete freedom," "full discretionary power," or "free rein")
Men do 90% of the most extremely dangerous and difficult jobs that establish everyone's, men's and women's rights and freedoms in the relatively safe "carte blanche" country and economy. Men represent 80% of the members of law enforcement and 83% of the military that secures the country so we can all enjoy the rights and freedoms and choices that we freely make and enjoy. And that is not always pretty, no apologies, choose your "Mafia".
American women without American men doing what they do and being what they are, good, bad or otherwise, and women being on their own and "in control", what would that look like given the reality of the world we live in? No men? No security. No security? No "carte blanche" freedom of choice to do and be as you please. Women would not even have an opinion on much of anything in such circumstances.
I was just wondering if you ever considered the reality as you propose that women would be better to exclusively "run things"? And that is not even a remote possibly without men being central to it (See short brother and sister video above). "Running things" eventually means some form of force at some point.
I wonder if A.I. and robotics might change this immutable paradigm of physical power, control, free choice and freedom in the future? Stay tuned on that.
In the future might there be a country or planet founded and ruled over exclusively by just women? Oy!
Is America its Constitution and Capitalism perfect? No. Is it always fair and honest? No. Is it sometimes incompetent and corrupt? Yes, every government on the planet throughout history has been exactly the same regarding corruption and incompetence and the Constitution is conceived and designed to counter balance that nature of human beings.

ALL provided to you, me and everyone else white, black, brown, straight, gay, trans etc. male or female by big, hairy sometimes smelly, rough around the edges, dirty, sometimes not so honest or competent in what they are endeavoring in MEN.
No men? No problem? Think a little deeper.

I feel sorry for your "progressive" lady friend, who needs to project all of her frustrations and failures onto men. To me it looks like a variation of TDS--I'd call it MDS (male derangement syndrome).
Misandry is just as ugly and ignorant as misogyny, and just as sad.
